Roger Clemens could be adding a uniform to his closet alongside his Red Sox, Blue Jays, Yankees and Astros jerseys, but this one might be bright orange or black and white striped.
That's because the Rocket could be heading to jail. The seven-time Cy Young Award winner is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in the nation's capital on a six-count indictment alleging he lied to Congress when he said he never used steroids or human growth hormone.
Clemens, who is expected to plead "not guilty," will appear before U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton. If convicted on all charges, he could face up to 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine, though under U.S. sentencing guidelines, he would probably face no more than 15 to 21 months in prison.
