It was a close vote, and all the contestants were worthy of winning, but in the end, it was Abby and Brett Federico who were the winners of NESN's Jimmy Fund Broadcasters For a Day.
Brett, an outspoken Clay Buchholz fan, offered his take on this year's Sox, while Abby showed off her interviewing skills.
The two took on the role of NESN broadcasters at the 19th annual Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day at Fenway Park on Aug. 29, 2010. Participants who entered the fan zone were given an opportunity to host their own version of NESN Daily in hopes of winning a tour of the NESN HD Television Center. The Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day raised nearly $350,000, and all funds raised benefit cancer research and care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The finalists were narrowed to the Federicos, Sean MacDougall and Olivia, Meghan and Brendan Ziegler.
