Bruins Kick Off 2010-11 Season With Encouraging Preseason Win in Montreal Although it was only preseason, the Bruins’ 4-2 win over the Canadiens was a thrilling win for fans of the Black and Gold.

Not only does beating the Habs cheer up any B’s fan’s day, the night also marked the official start of the season for hockey fans all over the world. Preseason or not, hockey is back in Boston.

Tuukka Rask kicked aside 36 shots, Tyler Seguin notched his first assist and Patrice Bergeron found the back of the net twice — once shorthanded. Boston was clicking on all cylinders in its first contest since getting ousted from the postseason and fans in the Hub are looking forward to another exciting year of Bruins hockey.
