The 2008-09 Vezina Trophy winner is coming off of offseason hip surgery and told NESN that, while he's not at 100 percent, he's getting close to being back to full health.
"The goal is to be 100 percent by opening day," Thomas said. "We just gotta keep working at it, but it's been going well. But to be honest, no one was expecting it to be 100 percent by the first day of camp."
When Thomas is back and healthy, he'll try to win the starting goalie spot back that he lost last season when phenom Tuukka Rask took the starting gig.
