Patriots Fight Way Into Top 5 Power Rankings Poll, But Jets Reign Supreme in AFC East There might only be about a half-dozen solid teams in the NFL at this point in the season, and even the league’s greatest contenders have some type of question mark. Call it parity, a down year or anything else, but the level of competition is undeniable. There have been a handful of games every week that have caused jaws to drop.

The AFC is still the class conference with the top-five teams in this week’s power rankings, but the NFC follows with the next five teams. Yet, while the AFC’s best teams look like sure things, the NFC’s best have been seriously plagued by bouts of schizophrenia, and there’s just no telling how that conference will play out through the rest of the season.
