Dallas Clark Injury Leaves Colts’ Quarterback Peyton Manning Down a Main Target

The Colts are not necessarily enjoying their bye week.

Tight end Dallas Clark will be out indefinitely with a hand/wrist injury, team president Bill Polian has confirmed, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Polian told WISH-TV after taping his weekly television show that Clark will meet with doctors on Thursday for a second opinion.

Three-year veteran Jacob Tamme is expected to fill in for Clark. However, in 34 career games, he has just six catches for 47 yards — none of which have come this season. Also expected to help fill the void  — despite being primarily blocking tight ends — are Brody Eldridge and Gijon Robinson.

Clark has 37 receptions for 347 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His 37 catches rank fourth in the NFL and first among tight ends.
