Bruins center Marc Savard got some good news recently as he continues to return from a battle with post-concussion syndrome.
Savard recently passed his exertion test and is now skating some. He’s still not back to where he needs to be, but every step toward a return is being welcomed at this point.
As NESN’s Naoko Funayama points out, the Bruins are hopeful Savard can return soon, but are also willing to wait to ensure that Savard is fully healthy upon returning.
“He’s an extremely valuable player to the Bruins organization,” Funayama said on NESN Daily. “They’ve made that very clear that they want him back as soon as possible, but they’ve also been very clear that they want to be cautious bringing him back and they don’t want any set backs. They want to make sure he’s 100 percent ready when he returns.”
