The 60-year-old tycoon purchased the Red Sox with co-owner John Henry in 2002 for $660 million, but Werner got his start in television.  He began working for ABC in 1975 and produced such hit shows as Roseanne and That 70's Show. The New York-native is also at the head of the successful production company, Carsey-Werner Productions.
