Bruins Announcer Jack Edwards Fondly Remembers Former Coach Pat Burns The Bruins family is mourning the loss of former Bruins head coach Pat Burns, who passed away on Friday after his longtime battle with cancer.

During Friday’s edition of NESN Daily, Bruins announcer Jack Edwards called in to share his fond memories of Burns.

“He made a ton of teams better,” Edwards said of Burns’ coaching career. “He won the Jack Adams Award with three different original six teams. He made decisions and he lived with them, and the last decision that he made about how he wanted to live out the rest of his life perhaps gained him more respect that any of the others he had made within the sport. He was a great man.”
