David Warsofsky Looks Forward to Wearing a Bruins Jersey Someday

David Warsofsky Looks Forward to Wearing a Bruins Jersey Someday When he was traded from the St. Louis Blues to the Boston Bruins this summer, Boston University defenseman David Warsofsky said it was the best phone call he's ever received.

Warsofsky grew up idolizing the Bruins, as he lived just 30 minutes south of Boston in Marshfield, Mass. Even though he's still finishing his college career at BU, Warsofsky says he can't wait to wear a Bruins jersey some day.

"To have the opportunity to one day pull on that Bruins jersey and play for the Bruins at the Garden is an unbelievable experience," Warsofsky said during a recent edition of NESN Daily. "I look forward to the opportunity someday."

The Bruins, however, will have to wait. Warsofsky is one of the foremost leaders on the young Terriers squad, which is currently ranked second in the country. Boston University looks to continue their reign atop Hockey East as they head into a home-and-home series with the University of New Hampshire this weekend. Neither team has recorded a loss this season in Hockey East action.

NESN will be broadcasting Friday night's game from the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
