The Internet was abuzz Friday morning with news that Nike leaked design plans for NFL jerseys (it was even brought up at Bill Belichick‘s morning news conference). Yet NESN.com’s Jeff Howe reports that the jerseys are not real.
The uniform drawings were done by an independent artist, not Nike, and there’s no legitimacy to them. Also, the NFL has to sign off on all uniform designs by Nike, and each team would also have its own input.
