Vikings Could Benefit From Brett Favre-Brad Childress Departure After This Season The miraculous 2009 season of the Minnesota Vikings is a thing of the past, and this season's squad is in need of a makeover.

NESN insider Shalise Manza Young stopped in for Monday's edition of NESN Daily and said that the Vikings could really benefit if they lost Brett Favre and Brad Childress after this season. Both have brought unnecessary drama to the team this year, which has clearly had a negative impact.

"Hopefully they'll both be gone at the same time," Young said. "Favre finally retires this year, and Chilly finally gets the boot after this year, and maybe Minnesota can get a respectable, drama-free football team again."
