Andy Brickley Says Tim Thomas Has Been Best Player in Hockey Through First Third of Season

It may not feel like it, but the Bruins are already through the first third of their schedule.

The B's continue to look for more consistent play in all facets of the game, but one thing has been consistent all season — the play of goalie Tim Thomas.

"Tim Thomas has been the best player in the National Hockey League," Bruins TV analyst Andy Brickley told Jack Edwards on Sunday's NESN Daily. "[He's] been absolutely outstanding when called upon."

Brickley also pointed out that the play of the Bruins' centers — a strength of theirs — should also continue to improve, especially as Marc Savard continues to get healthy following his recent return.
