Bruins forward Brad Marchand is doing all he can to make an impact with the B's, even if it means being a pit of a pain.
Kathryn Tappen spoke with the young winger at a recent toy drive at Target in Woburn, and asked Marchand about his evolution as a player.
Marchand said that his confidence continues to grow on a line with Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell. As a part of Boston's "energy line," Marchand admits that he can be a "bit of a pest."
"I just try and do a bit of everything," Marchand said. "I want to be defensively responsible and chip in with some offensive here and there. I like yapping, I like tripping guys, it gets me more into the game. Trying to draw penalties and get our team on the power play is the biggest thing. You have to watch that you don't go over the line. I think that's the biggest thing."
