One of Fabio Aurelio's greatest weaknesses throughout his career has been his injury issues, but the fullback has battled back yet again from his latest ailment and is now looking for his first start with the Reds this season.

Aurelio has seen two substitute appearances in Liverpool's last two matches, but is eager for an opportunity to start for Ray Hodgson's squad. The Brazil native is hoping that chance will come in the Reds' upcoming match in Romania against Steaua Bucharest.

"I'm recovered fully from the injury," Aurelio told liverpoolfc.tv in a recent interview. "Match fitness is what I'm looking for now."

Aurelio started 13 games with Liverpool last season and appeared in 10 games as a substitute. He's hoping the opportunity in Romania will open up additional playing time in the future.

"I'll probably get an opportunity in Romania and if I do, I'll really look forward to starting a game," Aurelio said. "Hopefully I can take my chance and help ensure I play more games for the team."
