Maybe this OCNN thing is for real.
While Chad Ochocinco‘s Twitter page is useless 99 percent of the time, it alerted many sports fans to the Florida school board shooting.
The shooting took place when a man, Clay Duke, held a school board hostage because his wife had been fired. He spray painted a red “V” inside a circle on the wall and fired shots at people from close range, but he did not hit anyone.
The gunman was shot by a security chief, according to reports, before taking his own life. The real CNN has the disturbing video.
Thanks to Ochocinco, the latest and greatest news reporter, we all found out early Wednesday morning.
“Hope these tweets are more appropriate,” he wrote, adding, “nothing like good news through twitter, just got off the phone with Anderson Cooper, turn to CNN.”

If Ochocinco’s football career doesn’t bring him any Super Bowls, can he expect an award for excellence in reporting? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
Quote of the Day
“That’s the most I’ve ever seen a player walk away from. It’s unprecedented.”
–Former Mets GM Omar Minaya, to ESPN.com, regarding Cliff Lee. Minaya, of course, wouldn’t know much about players turning down insane contract offers.
Comment of the Day
Soccer fans are great, really, but, uhh … this one should do a little more research before commenting on hockey.
“Ok so hitting others and shooting a puck into a goal makes someone an athlete? Really the only real athletes are the ones who do marathons, triathalons, cycling. The ones where you have to condition your body year round. Really isnt any athletisicim to hockey.. besides Bruins are just as bad as Liverpool.. have fun waiting another 40 years for a championship. Matt Cooke‘s hit on Marc Savard was legal by the way.. so go back to crying foul about that ya big baby.”
–Bruinsarelosers!
