LFC Owner John Henry Says Club Will Be Smart About ‘Throwing Money’ to Build ‘Championship Club’

John Henry, Tom Werner and the rest of the new Liverpool ownership group have said from the beginning they'll do everything they can to help LFC get back to where it once was as one of the premier soccer clubs in the world. They just need some time.

Henry and Werner took some time recently to take questions from the fans of the club, and while Henry said the new owners are ready to invest in the club's future, they're going to do so cautiously.

"Liverpool has the revenues to be successful, but they have to be allocated properly," he said. "Be patient with us. We're going to work as hard as we can. Sometimes, the quickest solutions aren't always the best solutions. We'll do everything we can to restore the luster of the club."
