For a Bruins team that continues to sputter, the last couple of days must have been some mighty long ones, especially following a stretch in which the B's only won one game in their last five.

However, the team seems pretty confident following a couple of practices that were, by all accounts, spirited and focused. Now, the team hopes that translates on the ice during games. They'll get their first chance to find out on Thursday when the dangerous Atlanta Thrashers come to Boston.

According to NESN's Mike Milbury, though, the game isn't a must-win, but it is a game of some importance.

"You'd like to see a response from the team, but one that has to be disciplined and calculated and not out of control," he said on NESN Daily.

It doesn't get any easier for the B's, either. After Thursday night's game with the Thrashers, the Bruins head out on the road for a five-game trip.
