Peter Chiarelli Still Stressing Importance of Patience With Marc Savard in Wake of Recent Return

Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli would like to see his team get faster, and the recent return of Marc Savard will only help. However, Chiarelli knows the team might not see immediate dividends, stressing the importance of patience.

The Bruins GM spoke with Andy Brickley on this week's edition of The Big Bad Bruins Show, and the two talked about Savard's recent return from post-concussion syndrome.

"I've talked to Marc, I've told him he needs to be patient, the legs will come, his hands will come," Chiarelli said before the Bruins' game with the Canadiens. "I think you see him on the power play, and he's making plays. The rest will come, but he needs to be patient."

Savard scored his first goal since his return in Thursday's game in Montreal.

To hear more of the conversation, including Chiarelli's thoughts on the play of the recently called-up Steve Kampfer, check out the video above.
