Ron Jaworski: Patriots’ Defense Not Good Enough to Win Super Bowl But Good Enough to Beat Jets

Ron Jaworski: Patriots' Defense Not Good Enough to Win Super Bowl But Good Enough to Beat Jets The strength of the Patriots clearly lies in the offense and Tom Brady, but is the defense good enough to hold it together for a championship run?

The answer, according to ESPN's Ron Jaworski, is no.

"That's the eyeball test," he said on The Dennis and Callahan Show on Friday. "When you watch the defense giving up close to 400 yards, it's not typical of New England Patriots defense."

Despite their defensive shortcomings, the Patriots are good enough to beat the Jets on Monday, according to Jaworski.

"I don't think it will be [a problem]," Jaworski said of the Patriots' defense.
