Shawn Thornton Continues to Be ‘Terrific’ for Bruins, Making His Line Valuable for Claude Julien

Bruins fans know the type of work that forward Shawn Thornton can do when he's not wearing gloves. This year, however, it's what Thornton's been able to do with his stick that's has B's fans taking notice.

Thornton dropped the gloves just seconds into Thursday's win over the Thrashers, but he then went on to score two goals, running his season total to a new career-high of seven.

Bruins analyst Gord Kluzak said Monday during Bruins Face-Off Live that the production and all-around effort that the B's have gotten from Thornton has been instrumental in helping Claude Julien use his entire array of players.

"He's just a terrific player on this team, and that fourth line has been a very solid contributor all year long," Kluzak said. "That's key for Claude Julien, because he really likes to roll four lines."
