‘Thank U Kessel’ Tyler Seguin Jersey Brilliantly Pours Salt in Maple Leafs’ Wounds

With the fourth-fewest points in the NHL thus far this season, the Toronto Maple Leafs can’t be too enthusiastic about again giving up their top pick to the Bruins as they finally end their obligations from the Phil Kessel trade.

Bruins fans aren’t about to let them live it down, either. “Thank You Kessel” has already reverberated through the Garden following Tyler Seguin goals, and now, an ingenious fan has even created a jersey with those words across the back — a Seguin #19, of course.

Leafs fans can look at the bright side, though. Their $27-million man did finish 19th in the league in goals last season with 30. If he can continue that output for the next 15 years, he may end up being worth Seguin, Jared Knight and this year’s top-five selection.
