Arsenal’s Theo Walcott ‘Definitely Out’ for Carling Cup Final

One of Arsenal's most dangerous players will miss the Carling Cup final on Sunday.

Gunners coach Arsene Wenger has confirmed to Sky Sports that Theo Walcott will miss Sunday's match.

"Theo Walcott has an ankle sprain and he is out. For how long, I don't know, but he is definitely out of Sunday," Wenger said.

Walcott left during the second half of Arsenal's last match against Stoke after twisting his ankle.

While the Gunners walked off the field with a 1-0 victory, making it a one-point gap to reach Manchester United, which sits atop the Premier League, the team lost one of its key players.

Walcott's presence will be missed on Sunday and potentially even longer, depending on the duration of the injury. If Arsenal wants to overtake Manchester United, though, the team is going to need Walcott.
