UTEP Coach Tim Floyd Restrained by Police After Ejection From East Carolina Game (Video)

Somewhere, Bobby Knight is having a good laugh.

University of Texas El Paso men’s basketball head coach Tim Floyd needed to be restrained by police after being ejected from Wednesday night’s game against East Carolina. Officers than had to escort he and fellow UTEP staff members off the floor.

Referee Jeb Hartness and his crew called four technical fouls on the UTEP coaching staff in a five-minute span (plus a fifth later in the game) and Miners undergraduate assistant Greg Foster was forced to eventually take over as head coach. UTEP was whistled for 27 fouls to go with the five technicals in its 83-76 loss to East Carolina.
