Johnny Boychuk Delivers Two Crushing Hip Checks During Chippy Matchup With Lightning

The Lightning aren't known as a physical team, but the Bruins brought that side out in them during their Thursday night matchup at TD Garden.

The chippy plays started early on when Steve Downie took a few jabs with his stick at Greg Campbell, who was still lying on the ice. The physicality only escalated from there.

There were a couple exciting brawls throughout the matchup, but nothing got the blood pumping like Johnny Boychuk's textbook hip checks late in the game. Bruins analyst Jack Edwards said he hadn't seen anything like it since Johnny Bucyk's playing days.
