Toronto GM Brian Burke, Maple Leafs Clinging to Slim Postseason Chances

There are just four games left in the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs after they leave Boston on Thursday night, and they'll need a lot of factors to go their way if they want to extend their play into the postseason.

The Leafs currently sit seven points behind the New York Rangers, who are clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot, and rank four points behind the Hurricanes, who sit in ninth. They'll need to win the rest of their regular-season games to stay competitive, and they'll need the teams ahead of them to lose.

Though their chances are slim, team general manager Brian Burke is still impressed with his team and their success as of late.

"We're very proud of how this young group has responded," Burke said during a pregame interview with Kathryn Tappen and Mike Milbury. "I think it's the youngest group that's still in the hunt. We're on a real short runway here, that's the problem."
