Cam Neely Hoping Improved Depth, Along With Lessons Learned Will Benefit Bruins in Playoffs This Year

Along the way this season Cam Neely and the Bruins were pleasantly surprised by some things.

The play of Tim Thomas, the emergence of Adam McQuaid and the solid play they received from Shawn Thornton and Daniel Paille were among those surprises. Yet, Neely knows that this season will only be a true success if the B's can learn from the past, particularly last year's playoff disappointments.

Neely spoke with Andy Brickley on this week's The Big Bad Bruins Show, and the B's president said that he's excited about this year's team and its improved depth, not to mention improved health. Neely is hoping that those two components, along with lessons learned from last year's historic collapse will benefit the Bruins as they get ready to open the playoffs next week.

To hear all of his thoughts on this year's regular season and looking forward to the playoffs in the video above.
