Mike Cameron may not be playing every day, but he has experienced a slight increase in playing time lately. The veteran outfielder took advantage of the opportunity on Sunday, blasting his third home run of the season to get the Red Sox offense going against the Tigers.
Cameron said he's not focusing too much on whether or not he is in the lineup day-to-day. Instead, he said he's just trying to adjust, have some good at-bats and not try to worry about the results too much.
Cameron went 2-for-2 with a walk in the Red Sox' 4-3 win on Sunday in Game 1 of a doubleheader. His home run came off Detroit left-hander Andy Oliver in the second inning.
