Bruins Still Sorting Through Draft Prospects As They Prepare to Utilize ‘Final Piece’ in Phil Kessel Trade

If it seems like it was just last week that the Bruins were winning the Stanley Cup, it's because, well, it was just last week. Still, the B's are now starting to prepare for their title defense, and that starts this weekend at the NHL entry draft.

NESN.com's Douglas Flynn spoke with Naoko Funayama at the draft in Minnesota, and he talked about what direction the Bruins may go with the No. 9 pick in the draft. That pick, of course, is one of the picks the Bruins acquired in the trade for Phil Kessel, and as Flynn puts it, it will be the "final piece" in the deal.

Ironically, Toronto-area native Ryan Murphy is one of the players the B's have their eyes on.

To hear more about him and what the Bruins may do this weekend, see the video above.
