It will forever be remembered as the hit that tied up Montreal's emergency phone lines and called for a police investigation. Months after Zdeno Chara's hit on Montreal's Max Pacioretty, the Canadiens winger is set to return to the ice with the Habs next season.

According to ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun, Pacioretty signed a two-year deal worth $3.25 million.

"We are confident that he will have recovered fully from the injury that kept him out of the lineup for the last month of the regular season and the playoffs," said Montreal general manager Pierre Gauthier in a statement Monday.

Pacioretty didn't stay quiet long after the hit that ended his season. His infamous "this game is longer than Marchand's nose" tweet got the Boston crowd riled up. He later apologized and removed the tweet.
