Tim Thomas Focused on Game 6, Says He Didn’t Realize It Was His Job to Pump Roberto Luongo’s Tires

Throughout the Stanley Cup Final, the Bruins and Canucks have developed a rivalry, with the latest jab coming from Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo following Game 5.

Luongo said that the lone goal let in by Tim Thomas in that game would have been an easy save for him, and that he hasn't heard Thomas say one nice thing about him all series. He insisted that he's been pumping Thomas' tires in the meantime.

The Bruins have been reluctant to respond to the comments and are instead focused on winning Game 6 and forcing a decisive Game 7 in Vancouver.

Thomas acknowledged, though, that he was aware of Luongo's comments. While he remains focused on Game 6, Thomas shrugged off the Luongo situation with some humor.

"I didn't realize it was my job to pump his tires," he said. "I guess I'll have to apologize for that."

To hear what else Thomas had to say, as well as reactions from Patrice Bergeron and Gregory Campbell, check out the video above.
