While most people are still unable to forgive Michael Vick for his involvement in dogfighting, one of the biggest brands in the world apparently has.

Nike has re-signed Vick to an endorsement deal, according to CNBC.

“Michael acknowledges his past mistakes,” said Nike spokesman Derek Kent. “We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field.”

The brand dropped him in August of 2007 and, in a statement, said that cruelty to animals was “inhumane, abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Vick’s agent Joel Segal told CNBC that “Michael is excited to have a long-term and strong relationship with Nike.”
