Jacoby Ellsbury Wins ‘Back in the Saddle Again’ Player of Game As Red Sox Tie for First Place With Win

No need to panic, Red Sox fans. This team still knows how to beat the Yankees.

After falling to the Bronx Bombers in the first game of the weekend series, some fans may have worried that the Red Sox could resume the struggles they've shown in past years against the Yankees in the second half of the season.

And after beating Jon Lester on Friday night with ace CC Sabathia on the mound Saturday, the Yankees looked poised to increase their one-game lead in the divisional race.

Jacoby Ellsbury decided that he would rather the Red Sox tie things up atop the division.

Ellsbury drove in six runs as the Sox pounded Sabathia en route to a 10-4 win. For his leading of the offensive outburst, he wins NESN Nation's "Back in the Saddle Again" player of the game award. (Speaking of Aerosmith, did you see Steven Tyler was at the game Friday night?)

Watch the video to see why NESN Nation's Fitzy thinks Ellsbury deserves the award, and vote for your player of the game in the poll below.
