Vin Scully, the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has announced that he will return for (at least) one more year behind the mic for the venerable franchise.

The Hall of Fame broadcaster made the announcement during a break in the action of Friday night's game between the Dodgers and Rockies.

Scully has broadcast Dodgers games since the team resided in Brooklyn in 1950 and followed the team to L.A. in 1958. He is considered the best broadcaster in baseball today, but we're pretty sure those who would say so haven't seen much of Don and Jerry.

Scully's famous calls include Don Larsen's perfect game for the Yankees in 1956 and, as Red Sox fans will remember all too well, Bill Buckner's error in the 1986 World Series.
