Alfredo Aceves Once Again Impresses Manager Terry Francona Upon Entering Game Following Josh Beckett’s Injury

Alfredo Aceves has worn many different hats for the Red Sox this season. He's come out of the bullpen in various situations, while also making occasional spot starts. And on Monday, he once again proved how effective he can be no matter what the circumstances.

Aceves entered the game in the fourth inning after starter Josh Beckett left with an apparent ankle injury. He responded by tossing 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, during which he allowed only one hit and struck out four, despite the Sox eventually falling to the Blue Jays 1-0 in 11 innings.

Terry Francona spoke about Aceves' performance after the game and gave an update on the status of Beckett. To hear what he had to say, check out the video above.
