A Major League Baseball season is a grind. With 162 games and the day-in, day-out nature of the sport, players can wear down mentally and physically.

We get that. It's part of baseball for a team to get nicked up and to have key players miss starts.

But when you take a closer look at the nature of the injuries the Red Sox are going through, things get a little bit iffy. For example, Kevin Youkilis is battling bursitis in his hip only a couple of weeks after David Ortiz went through the same ordeal with bursitis in his foot.

Maybe NESN Nation's Nate Hinchey has seen the movie trailer for Contagion too many times, but he's getting a little paranoid about the Red Sox injuries.
