Curt Schilling, Tedy Bruschi Could Learn Thing or Two From Brett Favre

Curt Schilling made waves recently by declaring on WEEI that he hopes the Red Sox don't make the playoffs and thinks that the Rays will win the wild card. Along with Tedy Bruschi's comments toward Chad Ochocinco, you begin to see an alarming trend of former Boston athletes speaking out against current ones.

Guys, where's the love?

NESN Nation's Nate Hinchey is all for stirring the pot, but sometimes it's best just to let sleeping dogs lie. Schilling and Bruschi are entitled to their opinions, but maybe they should take a page out of Brett Favre's playbook.

Think about it. Say what you will about Favre after his will-he-won't-he retirements, but this one seems to have stuck. We haven't heard a peep from the ol' gunslinger this season calling out Donovan McNabb for his poor play or anything like that.

So, Curt, Tedy, we never thought we'd say this, but maybe you should try being a little more like Brett Favre. What do you think, Tom Brady?
