Jon Lester Not Worried About Red Sox’ Recent Skid, Points to Early Season Struggles as Proof They Can Right Ship

The Red Sox' recent slump, during which they've lost nine of 11, is well documented. And although Jon Lester wasn't able to play the role of stopper on Sunday, he's not ready to start pointing fingers.

Lester is confident that the Sox can right the ship, saying that they've been through worse, such as when they started the season off 2-10. The Sox, of course, responded by going on a tear shortly thereafter.

Red Sox starters are 2-5 with a 6.05 ERA in their last 11 starts, and the team's starter has not pitched past the fifth inning in nine of those 11 games.

To hear more from Lester, as well as hear Tom Caron and Jim Rice discuss whether the team should be concerned going forward, check out the video above.
