Sidney Crosby will hit the ice with his Penguins teammates when camp opens next week, but once the going gets rough, Sid will get going … to the locker room.

Crosby is prepared to take part in camp, but won't be able to engage in any contact, according to the Penguins Twitter account.

"I have to get in shape and work on timing. Ill be practicing without contact," the tweet read.

This means, he won't be able to participate in any team scrimmages and will be limited to skating drills, until cleared by team doctors, according to NHL.com.
