Sometimes, a simple 15-yard penalty doesn’t fit the crime.

A Georgia teen is facing charges this week after he ripped off the helmet of an opponent and reportedly struck the victim in his head with it up to three times, according to CBS Atlanta.

Adam Chumley of Woodstock (Ga.) Northside Christian Academy attacked Loganville (Ga.) Christian Academy’s Jarrett Briscoe. It was so violent that Woodstock forfeited the game (they were down 33-0) after the incident. Chumley turned himself in to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, where he was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and later released after posting a $2,500 bond.
