Bruins Ready to Begin Stanley Cup Defense Against Flyers on Thursday After Busy Offseason

The Bruins finished the preseason with a very respectable 4-2 record. Now, they're ready to get their Stanley Cup defense under way.

The B's will open up the 2011-12 regular season against the Philadelphia Flyers at TD Garden. Prior to the game, the team's championship banner will be raised to the rafters, which will certainly be a memorable moment for all those in attendance.

Head coach Claude Julien said his players are excited to get the season going, but they're remaining focused rather than getting antsy.

To hear from Julien and defenseman Dennis Seidenberg, check out the video above from NESN Daily.
