After an emotional banner-raising ceremony at TD Garden on Thursday night, the Bruins weren't able to cap off the memorable evening with a victory. On Saturday, they made sure they came out with much more intensity, showing last season's Stanley Cup win is officially in the rear-view mirror.
Captain Zdeno Chara said the B's played with more hunger against the Lightning, and he was pleased with the effort that they gave in just the second game of the season.
The Bruins looked like the better team and put together a complete effort for 60 minutes, which Rich Peverley said will be important with every team in the league gunning for them.
