NHL Unlikely to Let Islanders Leave Long Island, But Getting New Arena Could Ease Tensions

The Atlanta Thrashers moved north to become the Winnipeg Jets after last season, but is there another NHL team set to relocate as well in the near future?

The Instigators seem to think it's likely, but they aren't convinced Gary Bettman and the NHL would look to move the New York Islanders — at least not from that market.

The guys did agree, though, that the Isles need a new arena, but it's still unsure if and when that will happen.

Andy Brickley is sure of one thing, though. The franchise will have a new arena before it gets a Stanley Cup.
