Syracuse Latest College to Be Embroiled in Controversy Due to Sexual Abuse Accusations

Sex abuse accusations have cast a shadow over yet another major college athletic program.

The allegations against Syracuse associate head basketball coach Bernie Fine came to a head over the holiday weekend, when ESPN played parts of a taped phone conversation accuser Bobby Davis said he had with Fine’s wife. In the phone call, Laurie Fine seems to know of the alleged abuse and voices concern.

Fine was fired on Sunday, but his ouster does not lift the veil of darkness from the university, as demonstrated by Will O’Toole in the cartoon above.
