Liverpool will host either Southend United or Oldham Athletic in the third round of the 2011-12 FA Cup. Sunday’s draw was held in London at Wembly Stadium, according to LiverpoolFC.tv.
The game will take place the weekend of Jan. 7-8, 2012.
The glamor game of the round pits Manchester United against the English Premier League leader and defending FA Cup champion Manchester City at City’s Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool went out at this stage of the Cup last season when it fell 1-0 in Kenny Dalglish‘s return to the LFC hot-seat.
