David Stern Has Novel Idea for NBA All-Star Game in Lockout-Shortened Season
Let's be honest. Due to the owner's lockout, this season's NBA schedule is a mess. By trying to cram 66 games into a time frame typically made for about 50, the league assured more games on back-to-back nights and at least one stretch of three games in three nights for every single team.

The condensed schedule has led to more overuse-type injuries such as sprained ankles and inflamed knees, and made traditionally strong teams such as the Celtics vulnerable. In that spirit, why should All-Star Weekend by any different?
