Jacoby Ellsbury has continued the trend of many Red Sox players showing up early to spring training this season. The outfielder arrived at JetBlue park at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning, three days before position players are due to report.
The 28-year-old will look to build on a monster 2011 in which he hit .321 while bashing 32 home runs, driving in 105 runs and stealing 39 bases.
Ellsbury, who also won a Gold Glove while finishing second in MVP voting last season, became the first Red Sox player to join the 30-30 season. In 2012, a contract year for Ellsbury, the center fielder will be looking to build on last year's success.
