Dustin Pedroia Suffers Forearm Contusion After Being Hit on Hand in Yankees Game

Dustin Pedroia has been the epitome of consistency when he's been on the field. That is of course when he's able to stay on the field.

The Sox' second baseman, who's missed considerable time with injuries in each of the past two seasons, suffered another concerning injury during Wednesday's spring training game against the New York Yankees.

Pedroia was hit just above the right hand, while at the plate in the bottom of the third inning, and could be seen grabbing at his arm before being forced to leave the game.

The Red Sox are calling the injury a "right forearm contusion". There is no indication of the severity of Pedroia's injury.
