Bruins Stymie Capitals Attack With Solid Defense, Must Crowd Braden Holtby in Game 2 (Video)

The Boston Bruins defensive effort helped catapult them into the overtime, and a wondrous goal by center Chris Kelly gave them the win on Thursday.

The efforts of Zdeno Chara, Dennis Seidenberg and even some of the forwards helped to stymie the Capitals offensive attack, holding Alex Ovechkin, Alexander Semin and the rest of the Washington gunners to just 17 shots on goal for the night.

The Bruins may have come out victorious in Game 1, but if the B’s hope to take a commanding 2-0 series lead on Saturday they’ll need to crowd Capitals goalie Braden Holtby to set up more scoring chances.

Dale Arnold, Barry Pederson and Mark Mowers discussed the Bruins defensive efforts and what they need to do to improve on NESN Daily.

Check out all Dale, Barry and Mark had to say about the game in the video above.
