Patrice Bergeron Suffered Strained Oblique Muscle in Game 3, No Offseason Surgery Needed

Patrice Bergeron's "upper-body injury" is no longer a mystery.

According to Bruins reporter Naoko Funayama, Bergeron told the media on Friday that he strained his oblique muscle in Game 3 and aggravated it in Game 5. Bergeron also suffered a broken nose, likely in Game 5, as well.

Luckily, he won't require offseason surgery, as seen in the tweet below.
